Where it matters
Scoot flies from Singapore to many places where onward travel is part of entry: the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and more. If you're flying one-way, expect the possibility of being asked at check-in.
Transit in Singapore
If you're only transiting Singapore, the rule that matters is the one for your final destination. Your onward proof should leave that country within your permitted stay.
What to show
A confirmed flight out of your destination country, in your name, within your permitted stay.
Australia and the long-haul routes
Scoot's flights between Singapore and Australia carry many travelers heading on to Bali or other parts of Asia. If you're flying one-way into Australia, you'll need a valid visa or ETA, and airlines check that before you board. If your trip continues to Bali or the Philippines, it's the next destination's onward rule you'll meet at the following check-in.
Self-transfer itineraries
Scoot is popular for self-transfer trips - two separate bookings joined together in Singapore. On a self-transfer, you may need to clear Singapore immigration and check in again. When you do, the second check-in desk looks at the entry rules of your next destination, so keep the onward reservation for that country to hand.
Timing
Check-in counters close well before departure, and document checks take time on busy routes. Arrive early if you're flying one-way and expect to be asked.

Frequently asked questions
Does Scoot need my onward flight to be with Scoot?
No - any confirmed onward flight out of your destination country works.
I am self-transferring in Singapore. When will I be asked?
Possibly at both check-ins. Each desk checks the entry rules of the destination on that booking.
Do I need an onward ticket for Singapore itself?
Singapore can ask visitors for onward travel and funds. If you are staying in Singapore rather than connecting, carry proof that you will leave.
